Snowgoose is the songwriting duo Anna Sheard and Jim McCulloch, backed by a veritable list of Scottish indie glitterati that includes members of Teenage Fanclub, Arab Strap and Belle & Sebastian, among others. Described as ‘tracing a line through 60s west coast psychedelia and early 70s folk-rock’ their album The Making of You was the long awaited follow-up to the group’s debut offering Harmony Springs.
A design route was developed based on original woodcuts printed by singer Anna Sheard. This was applied to artwork for the album’s physical formats, and became the foundation for the band’s broader visual identity. The 12-inch record makes use of a vibrant translucent coloured vinyl and fans that bought the release early via Glasgow’s legendary Monorail Music were also treated to a special limited edition signed risograph print, in zingy fluorescent orange.
